Lincoln Trail District Health Department is very proud to have earned the seal from the Public Health Accreditation Board on February 20, 2018. This achievement validates the dedication and hard work of our staff, the extraordinary support of our community partners, and the commitment of our Board of Health to improving the health and quality of life in the Lincoln Trail District.

The Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB), established in 2007, was created to serve as the national public health accrediting body, and is jointly funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Lincoln Trail District Health Department started on the journey to accreditation in 2010, but it was not until 2014 did we really dive into the document submission.  This long journey has allowed the agency to view our daily tasks in a different manner and create culture of continuous improvement.  In the face of every challenge we have prevailed to reveal a strong foundation for deliverance of the 10 Essential Public Health Services.
